More Surgical Procedures for the General Dentist

This all-day lecture/hands-on course is designed to introduce the attendee to more surgical procedures.

The morning lecture will start with a didactic portion reviewing simple extractions, surgical extractions, and other procedures that a general dentist can perform in-office.

Expanding oral surgery skills will help patients get treatment from their primary care dentist instead of traveling great distances to see the specialist. The lecture will feature slides of cases done by the speaker including how to close sinus perforations, buccal fat pad advancement, placement of orthodontic chain attachments, implant placement, apicoectomies, management of traumatized teeth, required armamentarium for specific surgical procedures, and knowing when and what cases to refer to the specialist- among other topics.
