About

The Academy of General Dentistry was founded in 1952 and is the second largest dental association in the United States. Our mission is to serve the needs and represent the interests of general dentists, promote the oral health of the public, and foster continued proficiency of general dentists through quality continuing dental education (CE).

The national organization is headquartered in Chicago, IL and is made up of 20 distinct regions. 

New Mexico AGD is part of Region 14 which includes Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Utah, Wyoming.

The ultimate goal of our constituent chapter is to be the foremost provider of live dental CE for general dentists and their teams in the state of New Mexico.
